Certified Public Accountant (CPA) – Professional Opportunity in the Flathead Valley

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately verify, allocate, and post business transaction details to subsidiary accounts using journals or computer systems from documents such as invoices, receipts, and check stubs.
• Summarize transaction details in ledgers or computer files and transfer data to the general ledger.
• Reconcile and balance accounts to ensure financial accuracy.
• Prepare detailed financial reports, including cash receipts and expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, and profit and loss statements.
• Compute and process employee wages, and prepare payroll checks while ensuring compliance with withholding, Social Security, and tax regulations.
• Generate and submit tax reports and other compliance-related documentation.
• Prepare and mail statements to customers and maintain complete records up to trial balance.
• Manage and maintain petty cash funds.

Qualifications

• CPA Certification is required.
• Previous experience in accounting or with high client volumes is highly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.
• Proficiency in accounting software, bookkeeping tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness to complete a skills evaluation test prior to the interview to verify expertise.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
