Picnic in the Park Summer Concert Series begins June 24

KALISPELL, MT — Summer in Kalispell officially begins on Wednesday, June 24, as the Picnic in the Park Concert Series returns to Depot Park for eight weeks of free music, community activities, and family-friendly fun.

Hosted by Kalispell Parks and Recreation, Picnic in the Park has become one of the community's most cherished summer traditions, bringing neighbors, families, and visitors together to enjoy local musicians, connect with one another, and experience all that makes Kalispell special.

In addition to concerts, Glacier Art Museum and local artist Jenna Justice will lead weekly community art activities, while lawn games and family recreation opportunities will be available throughout the afternoon between performances. Many downtown businesses will also offer Wednesday specials, promotions, and activities throughout the summer. From shopping and dining to local services and attractions, Wednesdays in downtown Kalispell are becoming the place to gather, explore, and experience everything the community has to offer.

"Our goal has always been to create a welcoming community gathering place where people can connect, relax, and enjoy a summer evening together," said Stephanie Brown, Recreation Superintendent for Kalispell Parks and Recreation. "Whether you're attending for the music, activities, food trucks, or simply to spend time with friends and neighbors, Picnic in the Park is a wonderful reminder of the strong sense of community that exists in Kalispell."
